Run And Review The Import
Run a selected WordPress migration stage, let background work finish and review the destination before continuing.
Run one selected migration stage at a time, then review the result before importing more content.
Start The Stage
Review the selected count and any warnings, then choose Import Selected. Micro CMS creates the required pre-import Recovery Point before destination changes begin. Large Media transfers and content conversion continue through Background Jobs after you leave the page.
Watch Progress
Use the migration status and Background Jobs to follow progress. If background processing is unavailable, the stage waits and Admin reports that state.
How Media Is Mapped
Included WordPress Media is processed before Pages and Posts. When an attachment is mapped to managed Media, imported content uses that managed Media item. References that cannot be mapped are flagged for review.
Review Imported Content
- Open several imported Pages and Posts in Admin.
- Preview the destination routes in the active Micro CMS Design.
- Check Media, galleries, embeds and links.
- Look for items explicitly marked for review.
- Check route conflicts before publishing imported drafts.
Imported Images And Media Settings
When WordPress Importer adds a supported image to Media, the destination Site's image-size policy applies before the managed file is committed. If oversized images are configured to downscale, the imported image is reduced to that limit once. Preserve original is honoured if it is enabled.
Plan The Next Stage
When the stage is correct, choose Review Source Changes before importing the next group. A fresh review can also identify previously imported content with unresolved WordPress Media references.
