Site Design
Change branding presentation, colours, type, widths, content defaults and archive presentation.
Open Design → Site Design for the normal visual editor of the active Design. Changes here affect the Site presentation without requiring you to edit CSS or templates.
Live Preview
Use the preview to check a sample or an existing content item before saving. Switch between desktop, tablet and mobile widths when a change could affect layout.
Header Identity
Brand display controls how compatible Headers show the Site Title and Site Logo configured in Site Settings. If a logo-dependent option is selected without a Site Logo, the Site Title is used instead.
Colour, Type And Spacing
Choose the light/dark behaviour, colour sets, typefaces, text sizing, content widths, gutters, section spacing and other controls supported by the active Design.
Page & Post Defaults
Set the normal width and decide whether Pages or Posts show titles, featured Media, author/date/read time, Categories and Tags, sharing, an author card, Sidebar and comments. Individual content can override supported defaults when needed.
Default Listing Style
Choose the default layout, columns, image ratio, excerpt length and page size for archives. Category, Tag, Author, Collection and Search listings can inherit the default or use their own supported override.
Design-Specific Controls
Some Designs add their own clearly labelled options beneath the standard controls. Those options belong to that Design and move with it when the Design is packaged or reused.
When Design Needs Attention
Open System → Site Health → Diagnostics → Design Status to see the active Design, available settings and any part that needs attention. Additional diagnostic information is available there under Technical details when you need it.
Core Design Is The Clean Starting Point
Core Design remains a clean starting point. If you edit its controls, Micro CMS creates an editable Site Design copy for those changes. Use Restore Core Design when you want to return to the clean Core presentation.
Studio Featured Content And Footer
Studio places a Page or Post title, introduction and featured Media beside each other when there is enough room. They stack in a narrow content column. Featured Media still follows the Page & Post display setting.
In Studio · Footer, choose a Feature image for the footer’s first column. Set its alternative text, optional link and fit. This image replaces the footer branding block; the Site logo in the header is unchanged. Leave the image empty to omit that footer column. The newsletter signup is controlled separately.
