Media
Upload and reuse managed Media with one canonical frontend image and optional upload-time resizing.
Media is the shared library for files used by Pages, Posts, profiles, Designs and other Site features.
Upload Media
Open Content → Media and choose files from your device. File-size and type limits come from Security → Media Settings and the hosting environment.
Frontend Image Delivery
Micro CMS uses the managed Media file for normal public delivery. It does not automatically create a family of small, medium and other frontend sizes.
If Media Settings is configured to reduce oversized images during upload, the reduced file becomes the normal managed Media file. Smaller images are not upscaled. A separate original is retained only when Preserve original is enabled.
Supported images brought in by WordPress Importer use the same destination image-size policy when they are first added to Media.
Authored Image Layout
Cards, Images, Galleries and Designs can still control crop, aspect ratio and object-fit. Explicit responsive image markup authored by the Site remains in control.
Use Media In Pages And Posts
Insert images and galleries through the Media picker so they remain connected to the managed Media item. Where the active content or Design uses a lightbox, readers can open a standalone image or move through a gallery without changing the underlying Media file.
Rename Or Move Media Folders
Renaming or moving a Media folder changes the canonical public URL of the managed files inside it. Pages and Posts render managed Media with the current canonical URL, including imported content that stores an older managed Media path. Previous Media URLs remain as redirects for external links and bookmarks. Historical revisions are not rewritten.
Choose Media From Other Screens
Where a field supports the shared Media picker, use Choose Media rather than copying a file URL by hand. This keeps the selection tied to the managed Media library.
Deleting Media
Before removing an item, check where it is used. Deleting a managed file can leave a missing image or download on content that still refers to it.
