Navigation

Create and publish structured Navigation resources.

Navigation keeps a menu's links and ordering separate from the Header or Footer that displays it.

Create Or Edit A Menu

  1. Open Design → Navigation.
  2. Create a menu or open an existing one. The editor remains in the Navigation workspace while you save, publish or review revisions.
  3. Add links to published Site content or approved external destinations.
  4. Drag items to reorder them and use nesting only where it helps visitors.
  5. Publish the Navigation and use it in the Header, Footer or another supported resource.

Descriptions

Navigation items can include a short description. Whether it is displayed depends on the Header, Footer or other presentation resource using the menu.

Internal Links

Prefer selecting the real Site destination instead of hard-coding an installation-specific address. This helps Navigation continue to work if the Site later moves between a root domain and a subdirectory.

Advanced Settings

Navigation is primarily a structured menu editor. Use Advanced Settings only when a package or Design specifically provides configuration that needs it; ordinary menu editing does not require CSS or JavaScript fields.

Test Responsive Navigation

Preview the active Header or Footer at desktop, tablet and mobile widths after structural changes. A menu that fits at full width can still need the compact navigation at narrower widths.
