Installation
Install Micro CMS, complete first setup, and add Bridge or Execution Nodes when you need them.
Install Micro CMS in its own directory, complete setup in the browser, then add optional packs or Bridge when you need them.
Before Uploading
Confirm the server meets the requirements. If another site already uses the domain, install Micro CMS in a separate directory while you test it.
Install Micro CMS
- Upload the current Micro CMS Core ZIP to the intended installation directory.
- Extract the ZIP so the Micro CMS files sit directly in that directory.
- Open the installation address in your browser.
- Enter the Site details and create the first Owner account.
- Choose Core only, Starter Pack or Advanced Pack for the initial Site setup.
- Finish setup and sign in to Admin.
Add Bridge Later
For a completed Solo Site, open your Profile and choose Activate Bridge. Enter the one-time activation code created for the licence in Control Accounts and follow the on-screen steps. The existing Site becomes the control Silo without changing its content or public address.
Add An Execution Node
Create the Node from Bridge → Host Fabric and follow the enrollment details shown by Bridge. Install the current Micro CMS Core package on the Node, then complete the enrollment shown by Bridge. There is no separate public Node download.
Moving From An Older Unsupported Installation
Starting Packs
Core only starts with the built-in presentation. Starter Pack and Advanced Pack add optional publishing and design resources and can also be installed later from Design → Resource Packs.
