Posts

Create date-led editorial content and control how Posts appear across the site.

Use Posts for news, articles, reviews, updates and other editorial content where publication date, author or taxonomy matters.

Create A Post

  1. Open Content → Posts and choose New Post.
  2. Add the title and body content.
  3. Choose Categories and Tags where they help readers browse related material.
  4. Add featured Media and review the Post presentation options you want to expose.
  5. Preview the draft and publish it when ready.

Quick Edit

Keep current status keeps a live Post live when an authorised publisher saves the edit, and keeps a draft as a draft. Delegated editors without publish access can save a review draft without replacing the current live revision.

Presentation And Comments

Supported Template, Sidebar and Comments choices can inherit Site defaults. Choose None when you explicitly want to disable a supported element for that Post.

Categories And Tags

Categories are useful for broad sections of a publication. Tags are better for narrower topics that may cross those sections. Use them when they improve browsing or filtering.

Publication State

Posts can remain as drafts until editorial work is complete. Scheduled publication continues automatically; you do not need to keep Admin open until the publication time.

Archive Appearance

Post listings, Category archives, Tag archives and other listing pages use the archive settings in Site Design. Set those defaults centrally rather than styling each archive independently.

Trash

Open Trash to restore removed items or use Empty Trash to permanently remove everything currently in that Trash. Permanent removal cannot be undone and Micro CMS will stop the action when existing content dependencies make deletion unsafe.

Publishing And Trash Controls

The side panel’s Publish Controls groups scheduling, Move to Trash and Unpublish Now where your access allows them. Trashing an item moves it to Trash; unpublishing removes its live version while retaining the item for editing.
